Place spring into housing spring pocket with spring cup attached to exposed end of spring.

Place small amount of grease on concave surface of spring cup.
d.
On G.K.N. models, clamp stub shaft of housing in a vice. Use a vice with protective caps on jaws.
e.
Position interconnecting shaft and tripod assembly on top of plastic retaining collar.
f.
Holding shaft on an angle, insert each of the rollers one at a time into retainer collar until all are seated and locked into housing.
g.
On S.S.G. units, slip tripod into housing and install tripod wire retaining ring into position.
h.
Ensure retaining ring will hold tripod in housing, if not replace retaining ring.
i.
On all models, position boot over boot retaining groove in housing and clamp into place.
