Air Bypass Valve: Service and Repair
Intercooler And Components
REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect the bypass air hose.
2.
Remove the vacuum control line.
3.
Unbolt the bypass valve from the turbocharger crossover pipe.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install a new air bypass valve seat gasket.
2.
Bolt the valve to the crossover pipe.
Torque value:
11 - 16 ft.lbs. (15 - 22 Nm)
3.
Attach the vacuum control line.
4.
Fit the bypass air hose and clamp.
Torque value:
3 ft.lbs. (4 Nm)
