EGR Solenoid Circuit
When Monitored:
With the ignition key on and engine running and battery voltage greater than 10 volts
Set Condition:
The EGR solenoid control circuit is not in the expected state when requested to operate by the PCM.
Theory of Operation:
The EGR solenoid is actuated by the PCM when the engine is at normal operating temperature. Throttle position sensor shows other than idle or
WOT and MAP is in mid operating range. The PCM looks at current flow when actuating the solenoid.
Possible Causes:

Open or shorted control circuit

Open fused ignition switch output circuit

Open or shorted solenoid control coil

Powertrain control module failure
