Console: Service and Repair
Overhead Console Replacement

REMOVAL

1. Open sunglass compartment door.
2. Remove screw from top of compartment.

Remove Map Lamp Lens

3. Insert a screwdriver blade into slot on side of map lamp lens, pry lens sideways, and remove lens.
4. Use procedure in Step Three to remove second map lamp lens.
5. Remove screw from each lens opening.
6. Slide console rearward until it drops free.

Connect Or Disconnect Wiring Harness

7. Disconnect wiring harness at connector.
8. Remove console from vehicle.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect wiring harness.
2. Line up "S" shaped bracket on rear of console with tabs on rear of mounting bracket located in headliner.
3. Slide console forward until console engages tabs on mounting bracket.
4. Line up the slot inside each lens opening with holes on mounting bracket.
5. Install a screw into each map lamp lens opening and tighten.
6. Install lenses.
7. Install screw into top of sunglass compartment.
8. Close sunglass compartment door.
