NOTE:
THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO VEHICLES BUILT AT ST. LOUIS ASSEMBLY PRIOR TO JUNE 30, 1995 (MDH 0630XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some NS vehicles built prior to 6/30/95 at St. Louis South Assembly ("B" in the 12th VIN character position) may experience a clunk/popping noise that
sometimes may be felt through the steering column.
DIAGNOSIS:
Test drive the vehicle at low speed. Listen and feel for the clunk/popping noise while turning the steering wheel off center a few degrees and accelerating
and decelerating. If the clunk/popping noise is heard or felt perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves lubricating the intermediate steering shaft.

With the ignition switch in the locked position turn the steering wheel to the left until the steering wheel is locked.
