Brake Switch (Cruise Control): All Technical Service Bulletins
Brakes - Drag Condition, Adjustment of Brake Switches

Bulletin Number:

89-5-3

Reference Number:

835019

Publish Date:

1/89

Subject:

FRONT BRAKE DRAG

Models

Affected:

1989 6000

Condition:

Brake drag at low mileage may be caused by misadjustment of the brake light and/or cruise control switches, which operate off the brake pedal bracket.

Cause:

The brake lamp Switch may be holding the brake pedal slightly applied. Also, if these switches are misoriented so that they are touching, they could tilt
in the retainer, resulting in a binding condition.
