C60, Manual Air Valve Operation Test
Check the operation of the air valves using The chart (see image). Put Fan Switch in HI to give a strong flow of air (engine warm and running at idle).
Note: The letters in the chart correspond to the valve positions shown in the vacuum diagram.

If the test indicates only one valve is not operating correctly, make the following checks:

Air valve and vacuum actuator move freely.

Vacuum hose is connected and not pinched.

Vacuum is present when valve is moved from rest position. If vacuum is not present, replace the A/C Mode Selector.

If none of the valves operate, check for vacuum at the Violet hose to the Heater and A/C Control Assembly.
