Headliner: Description and Operation
Headliner Description
The modular headliner consists of a one-piece composite substrate covered with a foam cloth facing. The construction of the composite substrate does
not allow for replacement of the cloth facing, and requires that the headlining substrate and cloth be service as a complete assembly. The wiring harness
for roof lighting and the sunroof (if equipped) is attached to the back of the headliner and may be serviced separately. The headliner is held in place by 4
locator points and magnets attached to the substrate. Additional support is provided in front by the auxiliary sunshades and interior attachments. If the
vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, there will be 2 patches of dual lock material at the front and sides of the sunroof opening and outboard of the
overhead console, in addition to the magnets.
