5. When replacing the rear spoiler winglet, perform the following steps
1. Use tape to protect the mounting surface.
2. Use a J 25070 Heat Gun to heat the rear spoiler winglet.
Hold the J 25070 approximately 150 mm (6 in) from the surface.
3. Use a circular motion to apply heat for about 30 seconds.
Notice: Refer to Exterior Trim Emblem Removal Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to lift or remove the rear spoiler winglet from the panel surface.
5. Remove all adhesive as follows:

For body panels, use a 3M Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk 3M P/N 07501 or equivalent.

For plastic panels, use a lint-free cloth and Varnish Makers and Painters (VMP) naphtha, or a 50/50 mixture by volume of isopropyl
alcohol and water to remove the adhesive.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the spoiler to the rear compartment lid.
2. Secure the fasteners in the sequenced order shown to retain the spoiler to the rear compartment lid.
3. Install the spoiler to the rear compartment lid.
