Air Cleaner Fresh Air Duct/Hose: Service and Repair

Air Induction System

NOTE:  When fasteners are removed, always reinstall them at the same location from which they were removed.

AIR FILTER ELEMENT

REMOVAL:

1.

Remove the two clamps from the adapter.

2.

Disconnect the bracket.

3.

Remove the adapter.

4.

Remove the bolt from the air cleaner assembly.

5.

Remove the air cleaner cover and element.  Inspect the air filter element for dust, dirt, water and clean or replace as required.

INSTALLATION:

1.

Install the air filter element and cover.

2.

Install the bolt to the air cleaner assembly.

3.

Install the adapter and bracket.

4.

Install the two clamps to the adapter.

5.

Tighten the air cleaner bolt to 20-27 Nm (15-20 lb.ft).
