MANIFOLD BOLT INSTALLATION - 1982-1983 5.0L CROSSFIRE ENGINE LU5 (ENGINE CODES S AND 7)
It has been brought to our attention that the Service Manuals do not instruct the use of an anti-loosening agent when assembling LU5 inlet manifolds.
The bolts attaching the manifold to the block that are inside the plenum should be coated with Loctite or its equivalent.
The GM Loctite Thread Locking Kit (part number 1052624) or bolt (part number 14067336), which has Loctite applied, may be used.
