Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair
Strut Remove/Replace

FIREBIRD

1.

Raise and support vehicle.

2.

Remove tire and wheel assembly.

3.

Support lower control arm with jackstand.

4.

Remove brake hose bracket.

5.

Remove two strut-to-knuckle bolts.

6.

Remove cover from upper mount assembly.

7.

Remove nut from upper end of strut assembly.

8.

Remove strut and shield.

9.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque nuts to 52 ft. lbs.
