J 43631 Ball Joint Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
3. Remove the rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear in Brakes and Traction Control.
4. Remove the wheel stud using the J 43631.

Installation Procedure

1. Install a new stud. Insert the wheel stud from the back side of the wheel hub (2).
2. Install 4 flat washers (3) on the wheel stud.
3. Install the wheel nut (1) with the flat side toward the washers (3)
4. Tighten the nut until the wheel stud is properly seated in the wheel hub flange (2).
5. Remove the nut (1) and washers (3).
6. Install the rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement - Rear in Brakes and Traction Control.
7. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
8. Lower the vehicle.
