1. Identify Inflatable restraint PPS module connector C1 (1). Refer to SIR Schematics in SI. On the seat harness, remove the tape 127 mm (5 in)
from the seat harness connector (2).
Note
Use a seam riper to help remove the tape.
2. From the seat harness connector C1, identify the wire in cavity 1 (Red/White - battery) and the wire in cavity 10 (Black - heat detection).
These circuits are not required with the replacement PPS module. Cut both of these wires from the connector.
