Hood Latch Release Cable: Service and Repair

Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the hood latch. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement  (See: Hood Latch/Service and Repair) .

2. Attach a piece of string around the hood release cable (2). This will ease the installation of the hood release cable through the engine compartment.
3. Remove the right side hinge pillar trim panel. Refer to Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement  (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim

Panel/Service and Repair) .

4. Remove the right knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement  (See: Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair) .
