Gently pry apart the retainers from the front floor mat.

1.

Insert a pair of snap ring pliers under the upper retainer flange and rotate.

2.

Open the pliers to unclip the upper retainer (1) from the lower retainer (2).

3.

Repeat Steps 2.1 and 2.2 for the opposite side floor mat retainer.
