5. If the brake fluid WAS NOT contaminated with an oil-based or a silicone-based substance, but was contaminated with water or dirt, rust,
corrosion, and/or brake dust, replace the brake master cylinder reservoir cap diaphragm.
6. Place a clean suitable container under the master cylinder.
7. Disconnect brake lines (3) from the master cylinder (1), then remove master cylinder reservoir cap (2).
8. Allow the master cylinder (1) to drain into the container until empty.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .
9. Install the brake lines (3) to master cylinder (1).
Tighten the brake pipe fitting to 15 Nm (11 lb ft).

10. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
11. Remove all the wheels. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair) .
