Important:  Always renew the coolant inlet O-ring (3).

1. Ensure all mating surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, using only a fine abrasive material.
2. Install the coolant inlet pipe (2) at the thermostat end (4).

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice  (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the coolant inlet pipe retaining bolt (1).

Tighten the bolt to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

4. Raise and support the front of the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
