Coolant Heater Cord Replacement (3.6L Engine)
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Battery
Disconnect Caution) .
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery
Cable/Service and Repair) .
2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (See: Cooling System/Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the engine covers. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Cover Replacement)
.
4. Disconnect the coolant heater cord electrical connector (1).
5. Disengage the coolant heater cord to wiring harness heat shield stud retaining clip (1).

6. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
