4. Install the NEW oil filter cartridge (2).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Notice) .
Non Registered Notice: Refer To PSD SIE TITLE Error: SIE linked to empty Cell ID 120919
Notice: Proper oil filter cap tightening is mandatory. Failure to tighten the oil filter cap to the correct specification can hinder later removal and
cause possible oil filter cap damage.
Important: Use a six-point socket to install the oil filter cap.
5. Install the oil filter cap (1) to the engine oil filter adapter (3).
Tighten the oil filter cap to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
6. Fill the engine with the appropriate oil type and quantity. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations (See: Maintenance/Specifications/Fluid
Type Specifications) and Approximate Fluid Capacities (See: Maintenance/Specifications/Capacity Specifications) .
7. Reset the service reminder display. Refer to Service Display Reminders (See: Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators/Oil Change
Reminder Lamp/Service and Repair) .
