Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Turn the ignition OFF.
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service Precautions) .
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Safety Glasses Warning) .
Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
2. Reposition the wiring harness heat shield to obtain access.
3. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) harness connector (3) from the CKP.
