charge during programming. Only use approved Midtronics PCS charger, a fully charged 12V jumper, or booster pack disconnected from the AC
voltage supply to maintain proper battery voltage during programming.

Important:

The air bag indicator light may remain ON after the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) is replaced or reprogrammed.
There may be several diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) set prior to programming. Once programmed, these DTCs should be in history and can
be cleared.

Important:

Select Tech 2 Legacy Pass-Thru and Replace and Program ECU from the Select Diagnostic Tool and Programming Process screen.

Reprogram the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM). Refer to Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module
Programming and Setup in SI and Service Programming System (SPS) documentation for programming instructions, if required.

3.

Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON.

4.

Program the new SDM primary key into the BCM using the Tech 2(R). Navigate to Body/ HVAC Variant/Body Control Module / Module Setup
menu, select Setup SDM Primary Key in BCM. Follow the scan tool on-screen instructions. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic
Module Programming and Setup in SI, if required.

Important:

The airbag telltale on the instrument panel must be flashing in order to perform Step 5.

Perform Setup New SDM in SIR Module Setup using the Tech 2(R).

6.

Cycle the ignition from OFF to ON.

Important:

There is a Tech 2(R) version 28.002 software error. The following diagnostic DTCs will appear when using the Tech 2(R). The DTCs cannot
be cleared using the Tech 2(R). Do NOT attempt to clear the seven (7) Driver Information Center (DIC) DTCs below. The Tech 2(R) software
error will be corrected in a future software update. If DIC performance issues are observed, contact the GM Technical Assistance Center.

Using the Tech 2(R) check for DTCs. Clear all DTCs not listed in the above Important statement if required
