Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling  (See: Air Bag Systems/Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming/Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the lower centre pillar trim panel. Refer to Center Pillar Lower Trim Panel Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair) .

3. Remove the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Scuff Plate/Service and Repair)

4. Disconnect the side impact sensor electrical connector (1) from the side impact sensor (2).
5. Remove the side impact sensor (2) securing bolt (4) 
6. Remove the side impact sensor (2) from the centre pillar (3).
