3. Remove the power steering gear outlet pipe/hose bracket to subframe retaining bolt (1).

Caution:  Refer to Safety Glasses Caution  (See: Service Precautions/Technician Safety Information/Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution:  Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution  (See: Wheels and Tires/Vehicle Lifting/Service Precautions) .

4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Wheels and Tires/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Spoilers, Flaps, and Air Dams/Air Dam/Service

and Repair) .

6. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Splash Guard/Service and Repair) .
7. Place a large suitable container under the vehicle.
