7. Connect the shift control linkage rod to the shift control assembly.
8. Install the shift control linkage adjustment nut finger tight.
9. Adjust the shift control linkage. Refer to Shift Control Linkage Adjustment (See: Shift Linkage/Adjustments/5L40-E/5L50-E - Automatic
Transmission) .
10. Lower the vehicle.

1. Remove the plastic cap from the quick connect fitting.
