4. Install the front brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Front.

Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement-Rear

Removal Procedure

Important:  Do not disconnect the brake hose from the caliper. Support or hang the caliper. Do not allow the caliper to hang by the brake hose. 

1. Remove the rear brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement- Rear.
2. Remove the caliper bracket bolts (2).
3. Remove the caliper bracket.
4. Remove the boots from the bracket.
5. Inspect the bracket for cracks.

Replace the bracket if necessary.

Installation Procedure

1. Apply a few drops of LOCTITE(R) GM P/N 12345382 (or equivalent) to the threads of the mounting bolt before installing.
2. Lubricate the caliper bracket bolt boots with GM P/N 18010908 silicone grease or equivalent.
3. Install the bolt boots into the caliper bracket (1).

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the caliper bracket (1) with the bracket bolts (2).

Tighten the caliper bracket bolts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).

5. Install the rear brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Rear.
