9. Using the J38185, reposition the hose clamp at the thermostat bypass pipe.

10. Disconnect the thermostat bypass pipe hose.

11. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe-to-engine front cover bolt.
12. Remove the thermostat bypass pipe.

Installation Procedure 

1. Install the thermostat bypass pipe.

Notice:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the thermostat bypass pipe-to-engine front cover bolt.

Tighten the thermostat bypass pipe-to-front cover bolt to 11 Nm (98 inch lbs.).
