Headlamp Dimmer Switch: Service and Repair

MULTIFUNCTION TURN SIGNAL LEVER REPLACEMENT

Removal Procedure 

Caution:  Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraints (SIR). 

Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.

2. Remove the steering column trim cover. 

Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement- On Vehicle.

3. Remove the multifunction switch (2) retaining screw.

4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the multifunction switch (1).
5. Remove the multifunction switch (1) from the steering column (2).
