Blower Motor: Service and Repair
Without Air Conditioning

Heater Blower Assembly

Blower Case Insulator "Cut" Diagram

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1.  Negative battery cable.
2.  Power steering pump.

Remove retaining bolts from mounting brackets and set pump aside.

3.  Electrical connections from blower motor.
4.  Partially cut blower case cover as indicated on cover.

NOTE: Cutting completely around cover Is not required. 

CAUTION: Cover thickness is approx. 2 mm (1/8 in.). Make cut just through thickness of cover. Excessive depth of cut may damage cooling
tube.

5.  Swing cut out portion of cover down.
6.  Blower motor cooling tube.
7.  Blower motor retaining screws and blower motor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1.  Blower motor and retaining screws.
2.  Blower motor cooling tube.
3.  Blower motor cover using 3 retaining clips.
4.  Electrical connections to blower motor.
5.  Power steering pump.
6.  Negative battery cable.
