WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID LOSS/WASHER INOPERATIVE (INSTALL CLAMP ON PUMP OUTLET ELBOW)

CONDITION:
Some owners of 1992-93 Grand Am vehicles may experience windshield washer fluid loss and/or washer pump inoperative.
CAUSE:
Windshield washer pump outlet elbow may become disconnected from the windshield washer hose.
CORRECTION:
1.
Raise vehicle and suitably support.
2.
Remove left front wheel as outlined in the appropriate Service Manual.
3.
Remove inner fender splash shield to access washer pump.
4.
Install clamp, part number 1648216, on the pump outlet elbow as shown in the illustration.
5.
Install inner fender splash shield.
6.
Install left front wheel as outlined in the appropriate Service Manual.
