Instrument Cluster / Carrier: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove two screws at top of instrument cluster trim plate.

3.

Remove two Phillips head screws from under glove compartment.

4.

remove two Phillips head screws connecting door hinges to instrument panel.

5.

Open glove compartment door, holding at bottom, then lift door up and pull out to release door stops.

6.

Remove three Phillips head screws at top of glove compartment.

7.

Remove two Phillips head screws holding plastic clips under compartment.

8.

Slide glove compartment out of instrument panel.

9.

Disconnect electrical connectors for light and trunk release switch.

10.

Remove one screw above glove compartment, then lift front of pad and pull rearward to release clips.

11.

Remove four instrument cluster attaching screws.

12.

Lift cluster and disconnect electrical connector, then remove cluster.

13.

Reverse procedure to install.
