Grand Prix V6-191 3.1L VIN M SFI (1998)
1. Install the exhaust muffler.
2. Install the exhaust muffler rear hanger insulators to the exhaust muffler.
3. Connect the exhaust muffler to the exhaust pipe with an exhaust muffler inlet pipe clamp.

Tighten the exhaust muffler inlet pipe clamp nuts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install and adjust the exhaust tail pipe.
5. Tighten the tail pipe clamp.

Tighten the tail pipe clamp to 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.).
6. Remove the support from the exhaust system.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks and underbody contact.
