Steering Wheel Air Bag Module Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Disable SIR system. Refer to DISABLING THE SIR SYSTEM in AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS.

2. Using flat-blade tool, on the back side of the inflatable restraint steering wheel module, to release the four leaf springs. Gently pull on the module

while the leaf springs are released.

3. Electrical connections from inflatable restraint steering wheel module.

4. Inflatable restraint steering wheel module.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Electrical connections to inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
2. Inflatable restraint steering wheel module until it snaps into place.
3. Enable SIR system. Refer to ENABLING THE SIR SYSTEM in AIR BAGS AND SEAT BELTS.
