Grand Prix V6-204 3.4L DOHC VIN X SFI (1995)
2. Power steering gear outlet hose clip.
3. Position and align clips to cooling pipe assembly.
4. Position cooling pipe assembly to drivetrain and front suspension frame assembly.
5. Power steering gear pipe clips.
6. Power steering gear pipe clip bolts/screws.
Tighten
^
Bolts/screws to 9.5 N.m (84 lb. in.).
7. Cooling pipe assembly to steering gear assembly.
Tighten
^
Pipe assembly to 27 N.m (20 lb. ft.).
8. Inlet hose assembly to steering gear assembly.
9. Power steering gear outlet hose clip.
10. Exhaust pipe front heat shield and heat shield screws.
Tighten
^
Screws to 6 N.m (54 lb. in.)
11. Exhaust pipe assembly.
12. Raise drivetrain and front suspension from assembly.
CAUTION: When installing the intermediate shaft make sure the shaft is seated prior to pinch bolt installation. If the pinch bolt is
inserted into the coupling before shaft installation, the two mating shafts may disengage.
NOTICE: Set steering shaft so block tooth on upper steering shaft is at the 12 o'clock position, wheels on vehicle are straight ahead and set
ignition switch to "LOCK" position. Failure to follow these procedures could result in damage to the coil assembly.
13. Position plastic cover and intermediate shaft bolt/screw (pinch bolt).
14. Rear drivetrain and front suspension bolts/screws.
15. Lower vehicle.
16. Reservoir inlet hose to pump assembly.
Tighten

Reservoir inlet hose to 27 N.m (20 lb. ft.).
17. Tie straps to hose assemblies.
18. Engine mount strut assemblies at engine assembly.
19. Fill power steering pump reservoir with fluid.
20. Bleed system.
Inspect
^
For leaks.
