Ignition Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Turn the ignition to "OFF"
2. Acoustic engine cover.

Important: Note position of wires and wire looms before removing.

3. Spark plug wire(s) from spark plug(s) by twisting the boot 1/2 turn before removing.
4. Spark plug wires from wire looms.
5. Spark plug wire(s) from coil(s).
6. Spark plug wire(s) from engine.
7. If replacing the spark plug wires, transfer any of the following:

-

Boot heat shields.

-

Spark plug wire conduit.

-

Spark plug wire retaining clips.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. Spark plug wire(s) to engine.
2. Spark plug wire(s) to coil(s).
3. Spark plug wire(s) to wire loom.
4. Spark plug wire(s) to spark plug(s).
5. Acoustic engine cover. Refer to Engine Mechanical.
