Master Cylinder Reservoir Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Clean the following components:

The brake fluid reservoir cap (2)

The master cylinder reservoir (1)
^
The master cylinder (8)
2. Use a flat-bladed tool in order to lift the connector security clip on the brake fluid level switch connector.
3. Disconnect the brake fluid level switch connector.
4. Place a container below the master cylinder in order to catch the brake fluid.
5. Remove the reservoir cap.
6. Remove the cap seal.
7. Caution: Refer to Brake Fluid Irritant Caution in Service Precautions.
Notice: Refer to Brake Fluid Effects on Paint and Electrical Components Notice in Service Precautions.
Remove the brake fluid with the syringe.
8. Remove the 2 screws (6,7) that retain the reservoir to the master cylinder.
9. Hold the master cylinder.
10. Remove the reservoir from the master cylinder.
11. Remove the 2 sealing grommets (4,5).
