Camshaft Gear/Sprocket: Service and Repair

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable.

2.

Remove camshaft cover carrier attaching bolts, then remove camshaft cover carrier.

3.

Remove timing belt as described under TIMING BELT.

4.

While holding camshaft in position with a suitable open end wrench, remove camshaft sprocket attaching bolts, then remove washer and sprocket,

Reverse procedure to install. While holding camshaft in position with an open end wrench, tighten camshaft sprocket attaching bolt to torque listed
under SPECIFICATIONS
