Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

1.
Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove air cleaner assembly.
2.
Tag, then remove spark plug wires and retainers.
3.
On 1990-91 models, remove oil dipstick tube and breather.
4.
On all models, disconnect electrical connector from oxygen sensor.
5.
Disconnect exhaust pipe from exhaust manifold.
6.
Remove exhaust manifold attaching nuts, then remove exhaust manifold.
7.
Reverse procedure to install. Tighten exhaust manifold attaching nuts in sequence shown in Fig. 4.
