Windnoise at Roof Area (Luggage Rack) When Traveling at Highway Speeds (Install Rubber Strips)

Condition
Some owners may comment about noise at the roof area when traveling at highway speeds. This condition may be worse in colder weather due to
changes in air density.
Cause
Condition may be due to open areas on the top side of the roof luggage rack cross rails. These areas, (approximately 210 mm or 8-1/4") on either end of
the cross rails, were left open to provide access to attaching nuts inside each end of the rail.
Correction
Install new service kit, P/N 10278285, which contains 4 rubber strips and an instruction sheet. Install the rubber strips in the gaps on the upper surface of
the rail as indicated by the instruction sheet.
