Sunroof / Moonroof Motor: Service and Repair

SUNROOF MOTOR/ACTUATOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the headlining trim finish panel.
2. Disconnect the sunroof actuator electrical connector.
3. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

-

The 3 bolts (1)

-

The sunroof actuator (4)

IMPORTANT:  Remove the sunroof actuator with the motor in the fully closed position.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Install the sunroof actuator (4) to the vehicle. Secure the actuator with the 3 bolts (1).

NOTE:  Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the sunroof actuator bolts to 5.4 N.m (48 lb in).

2. Connect the sunroof actuator electrical connector.
3. Install the headlining trim finish panel.
