5. If you are replacing the sensor, install a NEW nut (2). Install the nut to the sensor valve stem.
Tighten the nut to 4.0 Nm (35.4 lb in).
Note: Do not apply any lubricant directly to the tire pressure indicator sensor.
6. Mount the tire on the wheel. Refer to Tire Dismounting and Mounting (See: Tires/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement).
7. Verify the nut is tightened to the specification.
Tighten the nut to 4.0 Nm (35.4 lb in).
8. Inspect the tire and wheel assembly for air leaks with soapy water. Repair any air leaks.
9. Install the tire and wheel assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (See: Service and Repair).
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Register the transmitter ID. Refer to Tire Pressure Indicator Sensor Learn (See: Tire Monitoring System/Service and Repair/Reset Procedure/Tire
Pressure Indicator Sensor Learn).
12. Initialize the system. Refer to Tire Pressure Monitor System Configuration (See: Tire Monitoring System/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Tire Pressure Monitor System Configuration).
