Headliner Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the center pillar upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Center Pillar (See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair) .
2. Lower the door opening frame garnish moldings (1, 2) on the front and rear door pinch weld flanges.
3. Remove the assist handles. Refer to Assist Handle Replacement (See: Passenger Assist Handle/Service and Repair) .
4. Gently pry and remove the windshield side garnish moldings (1).
5. Remove the sunshades and retainers. Refer to Sunshade Replacement (See: Sun Visor/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Sunshade
Replacement) .
6. Remove the courtesy and reading lamp/sunroof switch assembly, if equipped. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement (See: Roof and Associated
Components/Sunroof / Moonroof/Sunroof / Moonroof Switch/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement) in Roof.
7. Remove the dome lamp. Refer to Dome Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
8. Remove the quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper (See: Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Trim Panel
Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper) .
9. Lower the front seat back cushions in order to gain clearance to remove the headlining trim finish panel.
10. Remove the 2 retainers (2) which secure the rear of the headlining trim finish panel.
11. Lower the headlining trim finish panel (1). Remove the headlining through a rear door.
