Removing hydraulic valve for valve lift control 

ATTENTION:  Risk of oil contamination and blocked oil bores

Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on hydraulic valves.

Note:

Handle the hydraulic valve with care, do not turn It at the valve Up or at the safety contact.

A seal against leaks cannot be ensured if there is damage in the area of the retainer plate, therefore handle the pliers indicated with care.

Hydraulic valve for valve lift control 

1. Remove the side shield on the relevant side of the engine. To do this, unscrew the two M6 x 16 Torx screws -arrows-.

2. Disconnect cable plug on hydraulic valve -1 - by pressing the clip and pulling off the cable plug.
