Preparatory condition: -> Temperature: 100°C + 20°C

Fit wheel bearing at the correct position. Then press again on the wheel bearing housing with only slight force using a suitable pressure piece -2-
(9247/3), see pressure pieces (4 x) P 9247 and -1- tube VW 415 A.

-> Wear heat-resistant gloves!

2. Install bearing cover -2-. (arrow = cut-out for water drain)

Screw in and tighten screws -1-. -> Tightening torque: 37 Nm (27 ftlb.)

3. Press in wheel hub.

Position wheel bearing housing on wheel hub and press on wheel bearing inner ring using a tube VW 415 A.

Subsequent work

1. Install rear wheel bearing housing (wheel carrier).
2. Fit brake disc, parking-brake shoes, brake cover plate and speed sensor on wheel bearing housing (wheel carrier). Observe correct tightening

torques.
