Insert wheel bearing at the correct position, then press again on the wheel bearing housing with only slight force using a suitable pressure piece
(9247/4), see pressure piece (4 x) P 9247 and tubular piece VW 415 A.

Hot wheel bearing housing!

-> Wear heat-resistant gloves!

2. Fit lid for the wheel bearing on the wheel bearing housing (4 M8 screws). -> Tightening torque: 37 Nm (27 ftlb.)
3. Press in wheel hub.

Pressing in wheel hub

Position wheel bearing housing on wheel hub and press on wheel bearing inner race using a tubular piece VW 415 A.

4. Fit brake cover plate on wheel carrier.

Screw in and tighten screws on brake cover plate.

-> Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Subsequent work

Install front wheel bearing housing (wheel carrier).
