Steering Wheel: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1.
Disable airbag system, See: Steering Column/Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming/Service and Repair/Airbag System Disarming
2.
Remove horn pad.
3.
Mark position of steering wheel.
4.
Remove nut, then the steering wheel with washer.
INSTALLATION
1.
Mount steering wheel with road wheels in straight ahead position or so that marks are positioned in such a manner that steering wheel spokes are
horizontal.
2.
Install nut and washer, then torque to 45 ft.lbs.
3.
Align horn wires on horn pad, then press pad on to retaining pins.
4.
Check function of horn and turn signal switch.
