Broken lower brackets on 911 C2/C4 Cabriolet or Targa model vent window frames.
General Information:
A stronger base, longer bolt and the addition of a washer between the window frame and bracket has been introduced into production as of November 5,
1992, as of VIN:
966 PS 440115 Targa
963 PS 460276 Cabriolet
Repair Information:
When repairing the window frame or replacing the lower bracket due to breakage on vehicles produced before November 5, 1992 production, a washer
(Part Number N 011 672 3) must be placed between the window frame and bracket. A 4 mm longer bolt and stronger base is also used in conjunction
with the washer (see Figure 1). The bracket, which retains the frame to the door, remains unchanged.
