ribs. Cover any damaged areas with a felt strip.

Complaint 9: 
Coupe only. Rattling and/or creaking noises at the roof lining (Fv) at the rear.

Cause: 
The side support ribs of the roof lining at the front (Fv) are in contact with the inside of the roof. The fastening clips could also be loose.

Repair: 
Cover the side support ribs (arrow a in figure 16 and 17) on the left and right with felt strips. Replace the 6 fastening clips and cover with the tricot tape
(arrow b in figure 16 and 17).

Complaint 10:
Cracking noises at the frame of the roof lining (F - Headliner) for the sliding/tilting roof

Cause:
Bonding of the roof lining (headliner) with the inner sunroof frame. In production, the roof lining is adhered to the upper side of the frame with adhesive.
The adhesive has been applied in too wide of an area. This will cause the headliner too stick and detach itself to the inner part of the frame. The sound
produced by this will vary in intensity depending on the temperature.

Repair:
Apply the grease free chalk to neutralize the area of excessive adhesive (area Y in figure 18). Be careful not to apply chalk to the area marked X in figure
18. This area must secure the headliner.
