Child Seat With Top Tether Attachment Straps

Accessing the anchoring point for the child seat equipped with the "Top Tethering" system.

Information:

As of MY '99, a sheetmetal bracket has been attached to the body of the 911 Carrera to provide an anchoring point for the straps of the Top Tether
child-seat (Figure 1, arrow).

If a child seat with the "Top Tether" system is installed in a MY '99 vehicle, a foldable opening must be cut into the rear wall lining in the area of the
sheetmetal bracket. To do this, it is necessary to remove the rear wall lining.

As of MY '00, the rear wall lining in the area of the sheetmetal bracket has been perforated (Figure 2, arrows). This makes the access to the Top Tether
fastening point possible, after the perforation is cut out. For MY '00, it is not necessary to remove the rear wall lining.

Sharp knife (carpet knife)
