Valve Body: Service and Repair

Removing and installing hydraulic control unit 

Note:  Do not let engine run with the ATF pan removed or without ATF filling.

Removal 

1. Unscrew ATF drain screw (1) and drain ATF fluid.
2. Remove ATF pan. (Loosen screws in diagonally opposite sequence).

3. Remove ATF filter.
4. Disconnect plug connections for transmission speed sensors and solenoid valves.
5. Unscrew fastening screws for hydraulic control unit.
